
beef lettuce wrap with an asian flair
This recipe comes from Conchitas Creations Food truck in Albuquerque. Conchitas cooked up this delicious recipe for the Food Truck Beef Throwdown.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shoulder clod
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 cup oyster sauce
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- steak seasoning to taste
- 1 red bell pepper
- romaine lettuce
- 8 green onions
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions
Trim Shoulder Clod and cut into small strips, 2-3 inches in length. Put thinly sliced pieces into a large bag, add Oyster Sauce, Soy Sauce, Water and Lime Juice. Let marinade overnight or for minimum of 1 hour.
Preheat electric roaster to 450, add coconut oil and let melt. Add meat, and slightly brown. Lower heat on the roaster and let slow cook at 225 for 1 hour.
Cut Cucumbers and marinade in lime juice before serving. Thinly slice red bell pepper.
Add 2 ounces of beef to the open lettuce leaf, add pinch of the cucumbers and bell peppers for color. Sprinkle with Sesame Seeds, tie lettuce wrap closed with Green Onion
