Ball Tip Sirlion Lettuce Wraps - Soo Bak Food Truck
This recipe comes to us from the Soo Bak Food truck in Albuquerque and was the 2nd place winner at the recent Food Truck Beef Throwdown event.
- 32 ounces ball tip sirloin
- 6 ounces soy sauce
- 6 ounces sesame oil
- 16 leaves of butter lettuce
- 2 carrots
- 1 bunch spring onions
- 1 package instant rice sticks
- 6 ounces of your favorite salad dressing (like Annies Shitake Vinnegrette)
- 8 ounces sriracha hot sauce
Combine soy and sesame oil and marinate meat for 2 hours.
Julienne carrots and onions and place into mixing bowl.
Heat oil in wok to 425°. Fry rice sticks. This happens in 30 sec. If not oil is not hot enough.
Combine carrots, onions and noodles and toss in dressing.
Cook meat on hot grill until desired temperature. Rest for 5-10 min.
Arrange 4 leaves of butter lettuce on plate.
Place small hand full of mix on lettuce.
Slice beef against the grain and place on top of mix.
Top with 1/2 oz of sriracha on each leaf and enjoy.
